Abstract

Tourism is one of the sectors that has the potential to support the introduction and development of an area. However, several natural tourism destinations still face promotional challenges, especially in areas with limited access to information. Meok Village, Enggano District, North Bengkulu Regency, has a natural tourism potential known as Bakblau, which offers beautiful natural waters with relatively preserved environmental conditions. Although it has tourism potential, Bakblau is still not widely recognized by the public due to limited promotional media. This Community Service Program (KKN) activity aims to develop a promotional strategy for Bakblau tourism through video content creation and the utilization of social media as a tourism introduction platform. The methods used include tourism site observation, identification of tourism attractions, content concept planning, promotional video production, publication through Instagram and TikTok, and simple evaluation of content reach. The promotion strategy was implemented through visual storytelling by presenting the natural beauty of Bakblau, location information, and voice-over narration explaining the characteristics of the destination. The results show that the created video content was able to introduce Bakblau tourism to social media users with simple reach results. The Instagram Reels publication reached approximately 850 views, while TikTok reached approximately 1,500 views during the publication period. In addition to view numbers, user interactions through comments and responses indicate that social media can become an alternative promotional medium for lesser-known tourism destinations. A digital promotion strategy through simple video content can serve as an initial step to increase public awareness of Bakblau tourism and support the development of Meok Village’s tourism potential.
