Waste is one of the environmental issues that requires attention from an early age through educational approaches tailored to children's developmental characteristics. Environmental education in Early Childhood Education (PAUD) plays an important role in developing children's knowledge and fostering positive habits toward environmental cleanliness. This community service activity aimed to implement interactive education on waste recognition to introduce different types of waste and emphasize the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness among early childhood students. The learning methods employed were Play-Based Learning and Learning by Doing, which were implemented through educational games, interactive material presentations, and hands-on activities in identifying and sorting waste. The results showed that the participants were enthusiastic and actively engaged throughout the learning process. Through educational games and direct practice, the children were able to distinguish between organic and inorganic waste and understand the importance of disposing of waste properly. The implementation of interactive education provided meaningful and enjoyable learning experiences that were appropriate to the developmental characteristics of young children, making it an effective alternative approach to environmental education in Early Childhood Education. Therefore, interactive education can be used as an effective approach to introducing waste management concepts while supporting the development of environmental awareness from an early age.
